By distilling only the best naturally sourced ingredients I created one of the first non-alcoholic spirits in the world.
I was raised near the vibrant city of Ghent, close to the Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen nature reserve. When I was young, I spent most of my time discovering nature with my friends. I enjoyed making tea with the herbs I found in the charming fields around me.
Fast-forward to today. My love for nature and interest in product development led me to pursue academic studies in bioscience engineering with a major in food technology.
On a Friday night following an intense week at work, I was catching up with friends at a bar. I was looking for a non-alcoholic alternative for the cocktails I’d always loved. After asking the bartender, a much too sweet drink was served. Not quite the drink I expected.
I soon realized many others were looking for sophisticated non-alcoholic alternatives. The idea of making a premium non-alcoholic spirit was born.
Meet NONA June
NONA, nine in Latin, refers to the nine individually distilled botanicals. 'June', refers to the juniper berry, also the main component of gin.
A complex distillation process provides the essence of NONA June, beginning with a distinguished citrus flavour followed by a herbal touch.
The intense collaboration with acclaimed chefs, bartenders and gin enthusiasts resulted in a perfectly balanced palate.
